This album is one of the most intense and complex I've heard in some time. Working with e-drums, this threepiece has crafted a metal masterwork, abundant in variety, technique and dynamics. Grunts alternate with excellent clean vocals, against a background of breath-taking music. It's mostly a combination of melodic death, math metal and some blackisch influences - characterized by a creative use of rhythms. DP has managed to lenghten this album to 75 minutes, with songs well over ten minutes. Their second album is definitely worthwhile; with this, the band proves to the audience what it's capable of. And that's quite a bit of musicianship. Great job! |
