Deviated
Presence is versatile melodic Death Metal originating from the Ruhr-area. The music is self-willed, doesn't really fit in any category and is characterized by dynamics and a rich variety. If you were to describe it more closely the music is formerly Death Metal,
meanwhile Black-Death-Thrash-Power-Prog-Metal with
Jazz influences... Our main idea is to provide people with exactly the music that emerges from us without commercial interest or other ulterior motives. Therefore many songs may not convey themselves at
first.
Originally brought into being as a solo-project of Felix Gebhart, Deviated Presence became a "real band" after a long search in early 2002. The following 4 years were challenged in a foursome at first with Hubert Popiolek on the guitar and Frank Pirnay on the bass, then, after the leaving of drummer Hartmut Stoof in 2004, in a threesome. During this time the cd-albums "Fall's Passage" (2003) and "Eerie Sphere" (2005) were recorded. In October 2006. Hubert Popiolek on guitar and Frank Pirnay on bass left the band because of work-related lack of time. After a further half year, in spring 2007, the new line-up has found together: Anne Schaefer (16) with only three years of playing experience and lots of talent succeeded Hubert on the guitar, and Stefan "Pfanni" Leushacke (23, known from Stormgarde, Inyou) searched and found a new challenge on the bass. Both also assume vocal parts like their predecessors. Now the busy reconstruction of the band began, first still with electronic drums.
In summer 2008 the lineup was completed at last by drummer Daniel Dickmann, although only for some months because Stefan almost immediately abandoned the place as bassist.
